American filmmakers were the first to notice the desire of the fans of the Hollywood movies to get in the shoes of famous actors, experience the same setting, the same vibes. So, the spectacular tours to «the dream factory» appeared, and the Universal and Warner Bros studios became the main rivals in a fight over the love and loyalty of the audience.

It didn’t take long for Bollywood to step out of the shadow of the older American brother. In 2010, the «kingdom of dreams» of Indian cinema welcomely opened its doors for every person wishing to explore the world of theater and movie of this amazing country. The Kingdom of Dreams became the first place for recreation and entertainment of such a grandiose scale in India. The ceremonial opening took place with the participation of Indian poet and scriptwriter Javed Akhtar who is famous to the entire world for his script for the movie «Seeta Aur Geeta».

Two unorthodox theaters are located within an area of more than 24 000 square meters. Luxurious Nautanki Mahal looks like a fairytale palace of maharajahs. Moreover, it can host more than 800 visitors. On the commemoration day, its stage premiered the first Bollywood musical «Zangoora – The Gypsy Prince», starring Hussain Kuwajerwala and Gauahar Khan, with the script written by the already mentioned Javed Akhtar. The second theater is called Showshaa and is shaped like a covered amphitheater. It sits 350 people. Here, small theatrical performances based on stories from Indian mythology are staged. That perfectly suits the atmosphere of the building, as it resembles ancient scaffolding.

Almost half of the Kingdom’s area is occupied by the so-called «art boulevard». Numerous themed restaurants present 14 Indian states and offer fantastic delicacies to the guests. Each of them is distinct in signature architecture and interior design according to the culture of the state. There are diverse trade and souvenir shops, and spacious gates ornamented with mirror petals of golden lotus which serve as the entrance to the boulevard.

Address: Auditorium Complex, near IFFCO Metro Station, Sector 29, Gurugram, Haryana
