You have already been to Sychrov, without even knowing it! This romantic castle was a movie decoration for the Czech fairy-tale film "Princess Goldilocks". And if you don't remember this fairy tale, you can visit the "movie tour". (By the way, another beautiful castle, Červená Lhota, played a "role" in the film).

Sychrov Castle is located 100 km from Prague, in the picturesque protected area of the Czech Paradise. The castle received a new birth in the XIX century. The French family Roganovs created a real corner of France on Czech land. They rebuilt the castle in a romantic style. The Roganovs embodied their ideas of what an aristocratic estate should be. This estate is called the "carved fairy tale of the Czech Republic". The rooms and stairs of the castle are decorated with openwork wooden lace, which was created almost forty years ago.

Today Sychrov Castle one of the most visited monuments of the Czech Republic. It is open all year round. Its towers and fairy-tale courtyard, luxuriously decorated interiors, carved furniture, and coffered ceilings all season serve as excellent decorations for the wedding and other festive photoshoots. You can immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the estate, and spend the night in the castle wellness hotel.

There are also many cozy places to relax or take colorful photos near Sychrov: a forest park with a network of walking paths, a railway viaduct, a water tower in the Castle Park.

In addition to classical excursions, Sychrov Castle can satisfy you with fabulous walks with the princess and many cultural events. It is also nice to walk in the large English-style Castle Park with a greenhouse. On the Northside of the Park is the Rudolph viewing platform, and through a romantic gate called the "King Arthur's Castle", you can get to the hillside above the valley of the Mohelka River. A forest path leads to a gazebo and a monument dedicated to the visit of Emperor Franz Joseph I to Sychrov.
