The Altai Republic is a land of preserved beauty. Thousands of tourists come here to see the beauty of Altai nature firsthand. Lower Multinsky Lake, like the other 6 from the chain of the Multinsky lakes, is located on one of the slopes of the Katun Ridge in the Ust-Koksinsky District.

The lakes are of glacial origin, and two of them, the Middle and Lower ones, are protected by the state as natural monuments.

Lower Multinsky Lake is the last and the lowest one of the lake cascade. The lake is about 2.5 kilometers long and a little less than a kilometer wide. The deepest point is 20 meters, the depth of most of the lake is no more than 10 meters. Lower Lake is also the largest of all the lakes. Although the water temperature in summer is no more than +16°C, many daredevils swim here not only in the hot season.
The lake shores are impressively picturesque. Even if you only come here for 1 day, there will be plenty to do. Lower Multinsky Lake is the closest one; routes to other, more distant lakes start from it. If you walk only 2.5 kilometers along the shores of Lower Lake, you will come to Middle Lake, a walk along the well-trodden trail will take no more than 45 minutes.

Where else but on the Multinsky lakes can you admire the harsh beauty of the taiga? The lake is surrounded by coniferous forests: fir, larch, cedar. There are many berries in the forest: stone brambles, honeysuckles, raspberries, lingonberries. Getting through can be tricky, but it is worth it! On the way, you can collect mushrooms, as well as get acquainted with the forest inhabitants. Do not be afraid if you suddenly meet a hare or a squirrel. They are already used to people and often go out on the trail to greet tourists.

Lower Multinsky Lake is a catch for photographers and nature lovers. Besides, it's easy to get there, and each view is better than the last. There are many places for halts, as well as camping sites.

Please note that there are tourist camps only on Lower Multinsky Lake. You can also walk to other campsites or organize your own.
Moreover, you must have a passport, as this is a border area.
