Copper Canyon

To describe the beauty of the Copper Canyon in Mexico, you need thousands of words. And it does not express all the emotions you feel here.

First of all, look at its size! It is huge! You feel like a grain of sand in the universe. It is quite scary, but your spirits rise! You cannot believe that such a miracle can exist. These are majestic cliffs of various shapes and sizes. Some of them look like a frog, some seem to be a monk. All it is wild rivers, dense forests, many birds and animals.

But the most significant thing is the moss! Yes, the moss. The canyon got its name because of that. Once the Spaniards took the reddish moss covering slopes for copper. 

You need to take a warm jacket with a hat and a swimsuit on a trip with you. The air temperature differs at the top of the canyon and below. It is explained by the large elevation difference. It is about 1.5 kilometers. In winter, you can easily make a snowman and play snowballs on the top and sunbathe at the bottom. Due to this climate, a lot of animals inhabit a park. Puma, black bear, Mexican wolf, and other beautiful species of fauna live here. It is better to watch them on a distance. 

The way to the copper canyon is not difficult. You can get to this beauty only by a comfortable El Chepe train. You will be amazed. Its main advantage is huge windows. So, you can notice all the views. Green mountains, rivers, numerous waterfalls, bridges, steep cliffs – you will see everything. To come to the Copper Canyon you need to cross 35 bridges and 80 tunnels.

Arriving at the place, you can change transport and romantically ride by horse.
